Aqua Vitale A20L FAQs | Production, Filters & Maintenance
The Aqua Vitale machine uses approximately 400 watts while producing water. Based on an average U.S. residential electricity rate of about $0.17 per kWh, the electricity cost at an output of 20 liters per day is approximately 8 cents per liter or 31 cents per gallon.
Actual costs will vary depending on your local electricity rate, temperature, humidity, and the amount of water produced. Higher humidity generally allows the machine to produce water more efficiently.
These estimates cover electricity only—not filter replacement or maintenance. U.S. electricity rates can be checked through the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
This is completely normal. The Aqua Vitale first fills several internal stages before water reaches the upper storage tank gauge:
- Air → internal collecting tank
- Through the full filtration system
- Fills cold water tanks
- Only then fills the upper storage tank
Depending on humidity and temperature, this initial priming can take several hours up to 1–2 days sometimes longer. Your machine is already producing water internally even if the gauge hasn't moved yet.
Once fully primed, everything operates normally and you can monitor production easily on the display.

Yes, the system uses advanced filtration and UV sterilization to ensure the water meets high standards of purity and is safe for everyday consumption.
While producing water, the Aqua Vitale A20L typically generates approximately 47–51 dBA of sound, based on our real-world measurements. This is comparable to the gentle background sound of a modern refrigerator.
The machine contains a fan and compressor, so it is not completely silent while producing water. Noise levels may vary slightly depending on the room, placement of the machine, operating conditions, and distance from the unit. Once the water tank is full, the water-production system stops automatically, making the machine significantly quieter.
The Aqua Vitale A20L chills and dispenses cold water directly from the main machine. It does not contain an internal hot-water tank or heating element. Every new A20L includes an external touchscreen dispenser that prepares hot water at several selectable temperatures and dispensing volumes.
Yes, it includes built-in 10 liter stainless steel tanks that safely store the generated water while maintaining hygiene and freshness.
Yes. In addition to replacing the water filters according to the recommended schedule, two simple monthly maintenance steps will help keep your Aqua Vitale operating efficiently:
- Check the air filter once a month. If it appears dusty or dirty, remove it and rinse it under warm running water in your kitchen sink. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling it.
- Clean the lower collecting tank once a month. This tank holds water collected directly from the surrounding air before it passes through the filtration system, so dust or other airborne particles may accumulate inside.
To clean the collecting tank, use a solution of one part regular white vinegar to three parts water. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water before reinstalling it.
Keeping the air filter and collecting tank clean improves performance and reduces the amount of debris that the water filters need to remove, which may help extend their useful life.
Yes, the Aqua Vitale A20L includes an integrated pump, allowing it to connect to an external touchscreen dispenser for added convenience.
For filter replacement, use consistent intervals:
- PPF: 6 months
- GAC: 6 months
- T33: 6 months
- BIO mineral filter: 12 months
- RO membrane: approximately 18 months
- UV LEDs: approximately 18 months
Actual replacement intervals can vary with use and operating conditions.
The Aqua Vitale A20L uses approximately 400 watts while actively producing water, similar to a small household appliance. It does not operate continuously—the compressor cycles on and off and stops producing water when the storage tank is full.
Actual electricity consumption depends on temperature, humidity, water demand and operating time. Warmer, more humid conditions generally allow the machine to produce water more efficiently.
Yes. Every Aqua Vitale machine comes with a 12-month limited warranty. We also provide customer support and replacement parts after the warranty period has ended, so you can continue receiving assistance whenever you need it.
Aqua Vitale is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We currently operate online, with a local warehouse where we store and ship our machines, replacement filters, and accessories.

No. The Aqua Vitale should remain plugged in and powered on, just like a refrigerator. When the tank is full, the machine automatically stops producing additional water and restarts when the water level drops.
Leaving the machine on also allows it to circulate the stored water and operate its three UV lights as designed, helping maintain water quality by limiting bacterial growth.
If the machine will not be used for an extended period, do not leave water sitting inside it. Turn the machine off, unplug it, and completely drain all tanks using the drain valves located at the back.
Remove the filters, drain any remaining water from them, and allow them to dry thoroughly before storage. When you return, reinstall the filters and flush the system with fresh water before drinking from it.
If the machine is left unused with water inside, the entire water system may need to be drained, cleaned, sanitized, and flushed several times. Depending on the length and conditions of storage, the filters will also need to be replaced.
